Pastor W. F. Kumuyi Condemns Christmas Celebration

One of Nigeria's most respected men of God, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi, the General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, condemns christmas day celebaration as it is today the world's most celebrated day, saying the act is a worship of idols and unscriptural.
The highly revered cleric is of the opinion that celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ at this time is a disrespect to Christ himself and a turning away from His commandments.
Pastor Kumuyi explains better in his words: "We don’t celebrate Christmas. It actually came from idolatrous background.
"That is why you don’t hear us sing what they call Christmas carol. Never!
“When you find anybody coming in, or any leader, trying to introduce the idolatry of mystery Babylon, that they call Christmas and you want to bring all the Christmas carol saying that is the day that Jesus was born, and you don’t find that in the Acts of the Apostles or in the early church, then you don’t find that in my church either.
"If you don’t know that before, now you know.
“We are not trying to make the church turn like the world. We want it to be like Jesus Christ, and more like the Apostles. If you don’t have that mind with us, then you have permission to go to other places,” he added.

CBN Bans Cryptocurrency Activity in Nigeria

  The apex bank on Friday issued a directive warning financial institutions in Nigeria to stop every cryptocurrency trading or faces sanctions.  This directive is contained in a memo with reference no BSD/DIR/GEN/LAB/14/001 circularized by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directing Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) and Other Financial Institutions (OFIs) to close accounts of persons and businesses who are using their systems for cryptocurrency trading. The letter which was signed by two CBN directors - Bello Hassan, The Director of Banking Supervision, and Musa Jimoh, The Director of Payments System Management Department expresses more emphasis on the January 12, 2017 circular.  The circular referenced FPR/DIR/GEN/CIR/06/010 was one of the CBN circular released earlier warning the public and business on their financial involvement with the use of cryptocurrencies.
